Steve Clark Wins Preston Innovations River Yare Three Day Festival with a perfect score of three section wins.

With big tides forecast and the river running very coloured, bream and skimmer weights dominated over the three days of the festival.

Steve Clark notched up three section wins to take top spot in the three day Preston Innovations River yare Festival.

Day 1: Top rod on day one was Karl Redgrave with 37lbs 14oz from peg 116, second from peg 87 was festival organiser Andy Wilson-Sutter with 26lbs 12oz with overall runner up Ray Malle third with 26lbs 2oz.

Day 2; Top rod on day two was Steve Kindleysides with 31lbs from peg 115 with Craig Nichols taking second spot with 20lbs 14oz from peg 96, Steve Clark took third place with 19lbs 2oz from peg 144.

Section Winners day 2

Day 3; With less colour in the river than the previous two days some angler opted to change tactics and go for roach while other stuck to the feeder approach for the skimmers.

Top three on the day came from three adjacent pegs, Craig Nichols topped the weights with 31lbs on peg 143, Eddie Hall took runner up with 20lbs 14oz from peg 141 with Andy Ison filling the sandwich on peg 142 third with 19lbs 2oz.

OVERALL TOP 5

At the end of the three days there were two anglers Steve Clark and Ray Malle with perfect 3 point scores of three section wins, this meant that total weight would decide the winner.

Steve Clark amassed 58lbs 15oz for first place overall with Ray Malle second with 56lbs 13oz.

Third place was taken by Craig Nichols with 5 points with Karl Redgrave and Eddie Hall both on 6 points with Karl taking fourth spot with a better total weight of 58lbs 11oz to Eddie’s 52lbs 1oz.
